Fifteen years ago, the Leverick Bay Poker Run was born in the British Virgin Islands. This now-famous family-focused nautical event attracts hundreds of boaters from around the Caribbean. The event has had a positive impact on the BVIs, increasing tourism, unifying the community and benefiting local charities. In 2016, The Leverick Bay BVI Poker Run had more than 250 participating boats and over 3,000 attendees, making it the premier nautical event in the Caribbean.
The success of the Leverick Bay Poker Run has helped to launch two new events: The Stars and Stripes Poker Run in St. Thomas, USVI and The St. Maarten Poker Run. The popularity of these three events and the enthusiastic participation from both local and international visitors has inspired the creation of the biggest nautical event in the region to date: The Caribbean Triple Crown Poker Run series.
The Caribbean Triple Crown Poker Run will serve as an umbrella organization supporting all three events, assuring the highest quality and safety standards, increasing the sponsorship value and bringing together fellow boaters from the entire Caribbean, the United States and beyond.
